Central Boracay island is composed of three popular stations, stations 1,2 & 3. These stations are boat stations and were used by motorized boats from Caticlan Jettyport. Nowadays, to sustain the natural beauty of the beach areas along the coast of these stations, local government no longer allows any motorized vehicle along the shores of these stations. These are also used as landmarks to give a perspective of an establishment's location.
There are two airports going to Boracay Island. One is Caticlan Airport and the other is Kalibo Airport.
Caticlan Airport is about 5 Minutes away from Caticlan Jetty port where you will take about 15 – 20 minutes boat ride going to Cagban port in Boracay Island. However, often times, flights going to Caticlan airport are more expensive compared to flights going to Kalibo airport.
On the other hand, it will take you about a 1 ½ to 2 hours land travel from Kalibo airport to Caticlan jetty port. Personally the Kalibo – Caticlan travel is not bad especially if you are going to Boracay for the first time. You may consider it as an additional attraction at lower cost. The sceneries along the way are beautiful and Kalibo is where the famous Ati-Atihan festival concludes every third Sunday of January.
